Il y a longtemps, une secte d'épéistes connue sous le nom d'Épée de Logos protégeait le Livre des Anciens, un puissant tome d'histoire qui contient tout ce que l'homme connaît : mythes, créatures, histoires, science, technologie et évolution de la civilisation humaine. Cependant, il y a des milliers d'années, un traître travaillant pour le compte de Megiddo a tenté de le voler pour lui-même. En conséquence, le Livre a disparu et chacune de ses pages a été dispersée à travers le monde. Aujourd'hui, le jeune romancier Touma Kamiyama rêve d'une autre dimension où il voit des épéistes et des monstres sortir d'un livre d'histoires et une mystérieuse jeune fille l'appeler à l'aide. Un jour, un phénomène étrange se produit sans qu'on s'en aperçoive : une partie de la ville a disparu.

Au milieu d'une guerre entre plusieurs Kamen Riders, Touma est incapable de sauver une petite fille qui lui demande de l'aide, jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit soudainement sauvée par un épéiste ! Un livre de Wonder Ride a été laissé dans les mains de Touma qui se demande "Pourquoi j'ai ça ?". "Je crois que j'ai oublié quelque chose d'important... Quelque chose que je dois faire." Touma demande à Mei, son éditrice en charge de son dernier manuscrit, de présenter une copie de son livre à Ryota lorsqu'il sera en ville pour leur anniversaire. C'est alors que la couleur du ciel change soudainement et que des choses étranges commencent à se produire ! Le monde tel que Touma le connaît est sur le point de changer sous ses yeux... !

Bientôt, Rintaro Shindo apparaît devant Touma, agissant comme un épéiste de l'organisation Sword of Logos, qui protège ces " livres imprégnés de pouvoir " depuis les temps anciens ! Après l'avoir emmené à la base nord de leur organisation, il commence à révéler des faits incroyables à Touma !
